It's our time now.
What happens next?
It's simple. We will send you an email to schedule a time to connect. During then we'll go through a 20mins intake discussing confidentiality, group process, fit and timing, and to answer any questions you may have upfront.
What can I expect in this process group?
There is no hard and fast agenda here. Nothing you need to do - we just ask for you to come as you are. During our time together, we'll go over safety and boundaries, discuss trauma and the impacts on the body, make space for open dialogue, and brainstorm coping skills and resourcing.
Broncos Rise is a closed group - meaning those we start with are those we end with. Due to the sensitivity and level of disclosure, we won't allow drop-ins throughout session. Safety and confidentiality is our number one here.
Are there specifics to my story that are required in order to participate?
Not at all. Your trauma could've happened yesterday or years ago - it doesn't matter. You could be on your path to report or not - it doesn't matter. This space is for everyone and welcomes all stories exactly as they are.
What if I've never done therapy before?
Not a problem by any means. This group could be your first experience of therapy or one chapter in your ongoing journey. We will however discuss further about resources and options of support to make sure the timing of this group is appropriate with where you're at.
What if I'm not ready?
Than you're not ready. You've got to listen to you. There's nothing more to it. And that's perfectly fine, okay? Our commitment to this work and the SCU student community isn't going anywhere. Just drop us a line when it feels right - and we'll go from there.
What if I have more questions?
Just let us know. We'll make time to answer all of them.

“It’s been a committed three years to build a partnership between Era Center and Santa Clara University. And now we’re offered the opportunity to create a space for survivors of sexual violence. We don’t take this time for granted. We don’t take it lightly. We're ready to build change and progress with the student community. And it starts with cornerstones like Broncos Rise to make it happen.”
