And that is not speaking"

I began my career helping expecting mothers break generational cycles of abuse and neglect. This powerful work with families led me into the early childhood education field, learning about child development, positive discipline, and social emotional skills.

I then went on to work as an advocate and sexual assault counselor for Rape Trauma Services where I supported survivors of all ages and demographics through support groups, advocacy during reporting processes, weekly visits providing emotional support, and accompaniments to court, police stations, and forensic interviews.

These experiences in the community have truly given me a deep appreciation for the resilience and creative survival mechanisms of our marginalized communities. In addition to this work, I have trained in various somatic modalities such as Trauma-Informed Yoga, Somatic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy, which address the mental, physical, and spiritual impacts of trauma on the body.

A Bit About Me

My approach is warm, patient, and straightforward. I work to help you connect to your intuition and inner wisdom so you can live a life that honors your values, legacy, and community. I am bilingual (Arabic and English), and enjoy working with clients who hold complex identities, such as children of immigrants, transracial adoptees, and LGBTQ+ people of faith. Together we can explore the strengths and challenges of navigating marginalized identities, and ways to move forward authentically.

By integrating the mind, body, and spirit into therapy, I take a holistic approach to honor and recognize all the parts of you.

In our committed and collaborative work, we can explore all factors impacting your mental health, from political realities, injustice, to family dynamics, friendships, and intergenerational patterns. I am wholeheartedly dedicated to making space to explore your strengths, resilience, and gifts from your culture and family of origin.
